The Taker
On her fingers a few drops of blood
subtle sign of his remote presence
then quickly she couldn't contain the flood
of spins and aches and rain
him approaching in essence
every day she tried to keep going
ignoring the void inside
everyday she felt herself fading
knew she had to accept
putting her dreams aside
She could feel him getting closer
silently approaching in disguise
she could see her eyes getting darker
in the mirror forseeing her demise
By her bed a white lily
and a sea of unshed tears
by her bed it is her family
looking older than their years
A miracle is what they're waiting for
and she knows there will be none
nothing ever will be as before
Her life has come undone
The prophecy whispered in her ears
so many years ago
now she has fought her fears
and he is not her foe
Her destiny seems like etched in stone
and he has come closer
now she is ready for the unknown
and she can hear him
silently calling to her
the taker
